Transformed
Communities

At Fusion Southern Tasmania, we’re working with locals to help communities become supportive places where young people and families can thrive.

The Fusion
Families Course

For more than 25 years, Fusion’s Families Course has been transforming the ways families connect and engage with each other.

Empowering parents and carers with the practical skills they need to build the family they long for, the Families Course is available as a self-paced online course or can be delivered face to face your group, church or organization.

Fusion
Community Housing

The Forest Glen property is home to the Fusion Community Housing program. Our two-bedroom and three-bedroom self-contained houses provide medium term accommodation to people on low incomes or in need of additional support. As part of the Forest Glen community, residents can join in community meals and working bees, and volunteer in the Food Relief Vegetable Garden and Mentoring programs.

For enquiries and referrals, call 0412 223 558.

Fusion Food Relief
Vegetable Garden

For nearly a decade, the Fusion Food Relief Vegetable Garden at Forest Glen has been providing over 1000kg of fresh produce every year to local families in need. Crops change year to year depending on the growing conditions, and can include snow peas, lettuce, silverbeet, broad beans, basil, cucumbers and plenty of zucchini!

Our partnerships with local organisations and churches make this vital ministry possible, ensuring locals get the fresh fruit and vegetables they need to thrive.

The Food Relief Vegetable Garden and accompanying Mentoring Program are fully run by our team of volunteers. If you’d like to be part of this “growing” community, express your interest to join the team.

Connection to Country

Connection to Country offers young people and families the opportunity to learn the stories of our first nations people in lutruwita/Tasmania, their culture, customs and lifestyle. These local journeys are helping to grow our understanding of the places we’re from and the history that shaped our communities. Each experience is open to people of all ages. You're invited to join us as we continue exploring, learning and understanding so that we can "Know the past. Change the Future".
